Greetings and thank you for your interest in our clinic!
I'm Dr. Erin Rayburn and I want to welcome you to Serene View Dental. As a teen, I was always very curious about my own dentist's job and loved the relationships I had with his staff. When I got to college, I shadowed at his office and then took a part-time assisting job to learn more about the dental field. I was hooked!
After I graduated from Millsaps College, I applied to dental school. I graduated from the University of Mississippi Medical Center School of Dentistry in May of 2015. During my time there, I focused on treating adults with dental anxiety. My goal is to earn your trust in order to make each dental experience as comfortable as possible. In 2017, I completed a 7-month course through Louisiana State University School of Dentistry in implants and their restoration. I believe in keeping the teeth you have if at all possible, but I can help to replace them if needed too!
I'm a member of the American Dental Association, the Mississippi Dental Association, and the South Mississippi Dental Society. I enjoy learning and growing through dialogue with my colleagues and value the wisdom that can be gained through organized dentistry.
Family is of the utmost importance to me. I've been married for 7 years to Jonathan, who is a physician with Hattiesburg Clinic. Together we have two beautiful children - Jonas, 4, and Everleigh, 8 months. In my spare time, you will find me out and about with my family, in the kitchen cooking up something yummy, or reading a good book.
Thank you again for your time. We look forward to seeing you in our office!
Dr. Guess has had extensive continuing education in all areas of general dentistry. He is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry where he achieved the highest award for continuing education – a Master of the Academy of General Dentistry. This represents over 1100 hours of education and the passing of an extensive exam. Less than 1% of the dentists in the United States have this distinction. One of the areas Dr. Guess has had extensive training in is the area of occlusion and full mouth reconstruction. How your teeth function in relationship to each other is so important.
Registered Dental Hygienist/Assistant
I completed the dental assisting program at Pearl River Community College in 2014. I worked at Serene View Dental as a dental assistant for one year before returning to PRCC to attend the dental hygiene program. I graduated in 2017 and returned to work here as a dental hygienist/assistant.
I'm from Carriere, MS, where I live with my husband of six years and our two dogs. We enjoy camping, hiking, fishing, and spending time with family.
I look forward to seeing our patients and helping them feel good about their smiles!
Registered Dental Hygienist
A graduate from Meridian Community College's Dental Hygiene program in 2002, I've been with Serene View Dental for 14 years. I love so many aspects of my job, but what I enjoy the most is getting to treat my patients who have become like family to me over the years.
I live in Oak Grove along with my husband David and my two boys, Dawson and Preston.
I look forward to many more years here and seeing you at your next hygiene visit!
Certified Dental Assistant
I graduated from Pearl River Community College's dental assisting program in May of 2019 and became a National Board Certified Dental Assistant. I have been working at Serene View Dental since graduation.
In my free time, I enjoy hanging out with friends and being a dog mom to my furbaby, Waylon.
I've so much fun assisting Dr. Rayburn and Dr. Guess and seeing our sweet patients every day!
Front Desk Coordinator
I'm usually the first person you speak with on the phone or see when you walk through our doors. I've worked at Serene View Dental since 2015, previously working with Dr. Guess for three years while I was in college in 2001. I’m sort of a jack of all trades at our office and can do everything from insurance and scheduling to assisting when needed. I really love getting to know our patients and visiting with them each time they come in.
I grew up in Brookhaven, but have called Hattiesburg home since 2001. I'm happily married to my husband, Jason, and we have one son, Jack, and a sweet fur baby, Dash. We live in the Midtown area right in the middle of all of Hattiesburg’s action and we love it. We love going to all things Southern Miss, traveling to new and old places, and spending time with family and friends.
I hope to make each patient feel warmly welcomed and comfortable when in our office.
